What does "put in storage" mean? Can you type some examples of usage? Is it similar to store, if so what are the main differences?

The "-age" suffix in english is often used as a "word-forming element in nouns of action, process, function, condition, from Old French and French -age." To store is to place something in (the state of) storage. In use: After the school year, he didn't need his books any more, so he put them in storage for when he might want to look at them again. A refrigerator is a method of cold food storage.
