cow-print chaps
Please, help me to understand the full meaning of this sentence.
A man in cow-print chaps and spurs nodded his Stetson to her.
I guess the "cow-print chaps" means something like brown cowboys' trousers or something? What is the "cow-print chaps"?
Thank you.

Chaps go over a cowboy's trousers to provide further protection when riding a horse. Cow-print means they look like a cow's hide, probably white with large black spots.
