Reported Speech: Is that use of verb COMPLAIN ABOUT ok?
"The bread is stale" --> He complained about the bread being stale
"You´re always forgetting to shut the fridge door", she said to her husband --> She complained that her husband was always forgetting to shut the fridge door.

Yes, that sentence does make sense, and it sounds very native. "He complained about..." is correct, and "She complained that..." is correct as well
