Can being be left out in the following sentence? Sometimes being a good listener is better than being a speaker. Can "being" before a speaker be left out?

Yes, Josephie is right; it doesn't make sense without the "being" in the second part of the sentence. You could also say, "Sometimes a good listener is better than a speaker."

No, without it, it doesn't make sense. But you can say: Sometimes, it is better to be a good listener than speaker. Hope this help, Josephie
