What is a bistro?
I know a bistro is a kind of a bar.
But I'm wondering what kind of a bar it is.
What I often see is an Italian/French bistro. Is it closely associated with this two countries?
Is the sense different between a bar and a bistro? How different?
Is it popular in your country?
I asked a lot? I'm looking forward to your patient explanation or any opinion of the bistro.
Thank you.

Basically, a bistro is something between a cafe and a restaurant. You can go there for a drink, or a light meal.
