"Don't get me wrong" = "Don't misunderstand me." or "Don't misinterpret what I am saying."

"To get someone wrong" = "to misunderstand someone"

It's usually followed with a "but". Typical usage: "Don't get me wrong, but I think [negative comment or critical opinion]..."
