When our company got a new computer, I had to ____ a course in programming. A. do B. make C. study Note: I think the ideal answer should be “take” or “give.” My choice is C. What is your answer and why?"teach a course" sounds nice too.

The most natural sounding answer is A "do". You can "do" or "take" a course. You can study a subject but not a course. For example: I'm studying maths at the university. I'm doing a maths course at the university. I hope that helps!

If you say teach but it changes the meaning completely. If you teach you are the teacher, you are telling people how to do something.
