what's the grammatical relationship between "a call to adventure" and "Our careers are a hero's journey "? And what does "a call to adventure" mean here? Thanks

The second phrase is working somewhat as an appositive, which is a restating of the previous thought.
What this is saying is that a person's career should be something where they are seeking adventure just like a hero does on his journey (this is a popular literary notion). Our careers should not be boring jobs that we hate, but should be something that excites us.
