What does this word mean?
I know that "Wójcik" is a very popular surname in Poland. Can you tell me, if there is a surname "Nawójcik"? Is it popular and what does it mean?Here http://www.polishtoledo.com/lastnames.htm I've found surname Nawojczyk. What does it mean? What is it's genealogy?

Hi :) My surname is Wójcik. And I think there is no such surname as Nawójcik, at least I have never heard it.

Wójcik as a toponymic surname is derived from villages Wójcia, Wójciki, as a patronymic surname from popular in medieval Central Europe, as a first name Wojciech (Adalbert), as a cognominal surname from the word wojak ("warrior"), as from the word wójt, chief officer of a municipality. "Na" means in. to answer your own question, put 2 and 2 together.

Nawojczyk -> it seems this surname comes from the female name "Nawojka"

I've never heard about surname "Nawójcik" and I didn't find it on that web site:
