Does anybody know the meaning of "skittish" in "skittish financial markets" in Spanish / Portuguese?
It seems that "skittish" here means "likely to change suddenly".
Ps: Unless you know an equivalent in English to "skittish" in this sentence.
Thank you in advance!

I've only heard skittish used to describe really hesitant, fearful, quick to flee or hide, things. Such as "The cat was skittish and whenever a person came over to visit, would run away"
They could mean the financial markets are likely to be fearful, hesitant and quick to change all at once at the slightest provoking moment.
(sorry I don't know how to tell you in Spanish / Portuguese)
