Why I get less money from italki lessons than I requested ?
I'm a teacher and my lesson costs 50 ITC. But when my lessons are finished, I receive cca. 43 ITC instead of 50 ITC. I'm little bit angry, because even 50 ITC seems for me as a perfect price for one 60-min. lesson.

sorry
i was lil bit wrong in number 15% for italki
What you can earn
When you teach people on italki, you will earn italki Credits (ITC). You can use your italki Credits to take lessons with other teachers on italki, or withdraw your italki Credits into cash. italki takes a commission of 15% from each lesson that is taught on italki.

Hi Samuel,
This is something you have to account for: italki takes 15% from each payment. Also, when you withdraw credits, the payment website (eg. Paypal) will take a commission as well.
My advice is to calculate how much you want "in the pocket" from each lesson, add 20%, and make that your lesson price.
Good luck!

Paypal is definitely not the best for receiving big amount of money -
try Moneybookers (www.moneybookers.com), an English online bank that take no charge between money transfers.
