What's the difference between Talk to vs. Talk with?
English teachers out there. Please help.

they both can be used, but talk to is more when you are relaying info and talk with is more like a conversation.

When people talk, communication may or may not occur. For example, one possible meaning of "talk to" is "admonish", whereas "talk with" is softer, suggesting communication more than "talk to".

The conventionally correct form is "talk to".
Some people believe, however, that "talk to" gives an impression of a one-way communication. So they invented "talk with".
My personal view is that it is unnecessary. People can talk to each other! It is silly to think that when I say that I would like to talk to John, I imply that I don't want him to talk to me!
So my advice is, use "talk to". If you can be correct, what is the point of being incorrect?
