what's the difference between "That' disgusting" & "It's disgusting?"

Both sentences are correct. However, "That's disgusting" refers to something, possibly an object, that is observable to the speaker. "It's disgusting" refers to something said by another person, something previously said by another person, or something that can be easily identified but not necessarily an object in the presence of the speaker or listener.
