In Saudi Arabia, is dialect in Hijazi region very different from Gulf dialects?
For example, can people in Jeddah understand people in Dammam?
I know Saudi is a big country, so that is why I ask.
Thank you!

There're a lot of dialects within Saudi Arabic and one of them is Hijazi dialect. People in Dammam would not understand all the hijazi terms.
