Yes, definitely- outfits, or pieces of clothing are cute, obviously baby animals are cute, also movies. Yes there is such a thing as a "cute movie". I am really not sure how to explain what a cute movie is. I guess it's a good movie but one that's not very intense or anything. You can use it to describe lots of things.
