"can also" and " also can", what are they different?

I agree with Gary. I think the only time you would use 'also can' is at the start of a question that is related to a previous sentence. For example: "I will be home late tonight. Also can you pick up something from the shop for me?" Otherwise I would only use 'can also'.

I don't think that there is a difference, but 'also can' does not sound very natural to me. I can't think of an instance where I would use it. As to being a question - the subject would change, not the order of those two. You can also help with the dishes. Can you also help?
