rather than the other way round
I'm not so sure of understanding two expressions I come across when reading novels,
1. rather than the other way round
2. more than can be said
I hope to have a few example sentences for me to study and fully understand them.
thank you for your help and your time

1) Instead of two things being swapped.
"I'd prefer if we eat first then watch the film rather than the other way round." (instead of watching the film first then eating)
"Emma is Jane's daughter, rather than the other way round." (Jane is not Emma's daughter)
2) Meaning something is true for someone/thing but not for someone/thing else, so that the other person/thing would not be able to say it themselves.
"The main character is so interesting, which is more than can be said for the author." (the author is not interesting)
"I have a mortgage, which is more than can be said for most people my age." (most people my age don't have a mortgage, and therefore can't say they have one)
