Is "ground reality" a standard expression?
The phrase "ground reality" is frequently used in India, especially in the media, to mean "reality of the situation". For example "So and so minister said that everything is under control but ground reality is quite different", or "In this report we show you the ground reality in India" etc.
Is the phrase used in American / British English too or is it unique to Indian English?
