Hi, Thanks for stopping by. This following sentence grammatically make sense?
Or how would you express this more naturally?(Everyday English)
-We had wandered off like a tourist who was looking for the best spot to take pictures in Harajuku.

Yeah, it makes sense. I would just stick to the plural though, to be consistent:
We had wandered off like tourists who were looking for the best spot to take pictures.

This part "in Harajuku" doesn't seem to fit at the end of the sentence.
and "wandered off" implies a start before in a sequence before your sentence.
so how about
In Harajuku, we meandered off like a tourist looking for the best spot to take pictures.
meandered implies no purpose and also random changes of direction.
