What does "I should shoot for 5:00" mean?
Susan is planning to go to a party, and she wants to get there early, spend a little time with the host, before another woman gets there. and she said:" she(another woman) will arrive at 5:30, so I should shoot for 5:00."
What does "shoot for" mean ? Is that means show up on time? Or actually it's not kind of a phrase? Because I know that "shoot" has a meaning like "move in some direction quickly and suddenly"
Thanks for your help!

"Shoot for (time)" means to aim to arrive at that time. The image is about using a gun or bow & arrow, aimed at a target.
