What is the difference among this four words? Sometimes is rather difficult for me to make a choice

Issue is used when there is a problem that needs solving. If someone asks 'what's the issue?' , it means 'what's the problem?'
Subject and topic are similar, but subject is a wider term. So if the topic is 'French verbs' , the subject is 'French'.
Matter has a similar meaning to all three words. Generally all these words have a similar meaning.
