'eye lands on' or 'eyes land on'?
I have a sentence
"His eye lands on a student room in which a couple are making love."
from a film script. I wonder if it can be also
"His eyes land on a student room in which a couple are making love.".

I think both can be correct. Somehow the plural "eyes" feels nicer though. That is, unless the person in question only has one eye ;)

Personally, I'd go for 'eye'.
It's an idiom, meaning vision/sight/gaze etc, as opposed to the literal, physical body part. Most other idioms use the singular 'eye' : for example 'keep an eye on' 'I've got my eye on' .
