no vs less Generally Egg is used in making Cake. whenever a cake is made without Egg then it has a label "Egg less cake" on the pack. Here my question is, why they do not say "No egg" cake. In my view, less mean little but not nil. But here no egg is used so that it should be "No egg" cake. please correct me if I am wrong

It's one word: "eggless". In some cases, you might use a hyphen: "egg-less". In this example, "-less" is a suffix and it means "without". "No egg" sounds like broken English.
