reject and refuse are they the same? I wonder if the difference between them is that refuse to do something and reject something/something. so I would give some examples. 1. I was refused/rejected. 2. I just got refused/rejected to this university. 3. I rejected her to come around today Thank you!

They both have the same meaning ,the last sentence is not correct. Rather say she wanted to come around today, but I refused.
