Kiosk
Hi! Could you explain to me the meaning of the word "kiosk". Is it a place where you can buy newspapers?

A "kiosk" is a tiny outdoor building, usually where something is sold, sometimes through an open window and a counter in front. It is usually permanent and without wheels. It usually does not have heating or plumbing.
It overlaps in meaning with the word "booth."
Kiosks that sell newspapers are sometimes called "newsstands."
It's an English word borrowed from Turkish, along with "coffee," "mammoth," "taiga," and "yogurt."
