"give the whole thing a dramatic edge", what does that mean?
I can't get this usage——give a dramatic edge.
It really confuse me and this whole sentence is "Actually shooting the picture was not my intention, but that does give the whole thing a dramatic edge, wouldn't you say?"

It's just a colorful way of saying "makes it dramatic." "Edge" here implies cutting or sharp.
