"Were you scheduled to see any more patients today?" 's question. "Were you scheduled to see any more patients today?" I think any more means no longer. But I don't understand this sentence when I apply no longer to this sentence.

Hi Terry. "Any more" refers to the patients. You could use "Any other patients". Hope this helps. =]

"I have no time to speak with you any more / any longer" "I cannot deal with any more people today" "any more" in the first example is an expression in which the words are used together and have the same meaning as "any longer"
