In this case "flip" means to buy something and then immediately resell it for more money.

Flip in that context means to sell for profit. So if you purchase something for $5 then you would be flipping it if you then sold it to someone else for $10. It's used primarily with real estate when someone buys a house to fix it up and sell it.
