What's the difference between "border" and "boundary"? As titled, please tell me the difference. The two words always confuse me.

It is confusing because they are very similar. "Border" is most commonly used as the line that separates two countries. "Boundary" mostly commonly refers to a line that contains something. Often it is a line that should not be crossed. The boundary of a soccer field. Also personal boundaries - things someone doesn't want to do or talk about.

Border is used to separate one country from another. Example: I crossed the border into France. Boundary is used to show where an area ends and another area begins Example: The line marked the boundary of our playing field.
