Japanese Translation for Survival Questions! 日本語 の 翻訳 で 生存 質問! Hi, I would like to know what the corresponding translations are for the English phrases below. I know Romaji is useless in Japan, but coupling Hiragana with its Romaji counterpart has been EXTREMELY beneficial to me because I am still a beginner. English: Please speak more slowly Hiragana: Romaji: English: Can you say that again? Hiragana: Romaji: English: How do you say _____? Hiragana: Romaji: English: What does ______ mean? Hiragana: Romaji: Example: asdf asdff sdfds ___________? Hiragana: kjlk ______ fsf df sfdsdfsdf as?

English: Please speak more slowly Hiragana: もっと ゆっくり はなして ください。 Romaji: Motto yukkuri hanashite kudasai. I would say: もう すこし ゆっくりcはなして ください。(Mou sukoshi yukkuri hanashite kudasai. = Please speak a bit more slowly.) English: Can you say that again? Hiragana: もう いちど いって もらえますか。 Romaji: Mou ichido itte morae masunka *You can also say: もう いちど いって ください。(Mou ichido itte kudasai. = Please say that again.) / もう いちど おねがいします。(Mou ichido onegai shimasu. = One more time, please.) I think they are easier for you. (I wrote the literal translations.) English: How do you say _____ (in Japanese)? Hiragana: (にほんご で) _____ は なんと いいますか / なんて いいますか。 Romaji: (Nihongo de) _____ wa nanto ii masu ka / nante iimasu ka. English: What does ______ mean? Hiragana: _____ は どういう いみ ですか。 Romaji: _____ wa douiu imi desu ka. I hope this helps you. Good luck!
