What is the difference between 整 and 全?
I know both mean "complete" or "entire" of something, but I am not sure how to use them. Can you please tell me the difference and give me some EASY examples?
Thanks

i think when they both mean whole, complete, total, entire, you will feel confuse. look at these sentences:整个人泡在水里. (one person one body) 全身都是水.(hands legs feet head and all parts of body compose one body ) 全部零件组成飞机这一个整体. (all the odds and ends compose the whole airplane)

I think they are mostly the same. But we usually use them in some different firmly phrases. For example,整个 完整,全部 全都 全国.And in addition, they have their own meanings.整also means neat 整齐,put in order 整理;全 also means keep intact 保全 I hope it will be useful to you!^^

1. 全 could be adj. example, 全国,全家, and could be used as an adv. ,example: 全会做,全吃光了,全去。
2. 整 could not be used as an adv. ,but could be adj. , specially we use it with quantifiers, example 整个国家,整只,整台。
3.整 also could be an verb.

It's a difficult question. In my opinion,we always say "整" when we express something as a whole. And when we use "全" like the meaning of "all".
整个房间 the whole room
全都别动all of you,don't move
Hope it'll help you^_^

I think it will be easy if you start with learning phrases instead of characters, because a character can have a lot of meanings if you put it in different phrases.
