Is it correct to say "I talk English"? I was taught that sentence is wrong. I have seen that sentence many times on italki, though.

It isn't right. It sounds like something a child might say. You could say 'I talk IN English', meaning 'converse', as in 'I usually talk in English to my Korean friends.' But if you are referring to your ability to use a language, you always use 'speak' rather than 'talk'. Interestingly, this is virtually the only situation, apart from idioms and set phrases, where 'speak' and 'talk' are not interchangeable.

The proper way to say it would be: "I speak English". You will learn that many of those who use : "I talk English" are probably learning the language as well.
