Pitane- molim vas - otići The other day I talked with a friend who learns Croation. We were talking about the word “otići". I am learning Serbian-ekavica and I only knew - up to know: ja odem – ti odeš. The crodict which is a good dictionary only mentions otiđem – otiđeš and not odem. Does that mean that in Croatian you use only otiđem.....? I am just curious :))

http://hjp.novi-liber.hr/index.php?show=kosi_oblici&id=eFdmXhI%3D I believe both forms are fine, maybe some dialects use more often odem and some of them otiđem. However the imperative form of the verb otići in ekavica region is otidi (or more common just IDI) and in ijekavica regions is otiđi. There is also the form odi, used a lot in Croatia, but doesn't belong to the standard language structure.
