As Consol said the main different between "è" and "e" is that the first one is verb "essere" (3rd pers. sing.) and the last one is "and". È - it is a letter with accento grafico grave and you can see it in different words such as "è", "tè", "cioè", "caffè" etc. É - it is a letter with accento grafico acuto and you can see it in "affinché", "perché", "né", "sé" etc.
