Pull any strokes I was reading the script of A hard day's night and I found this: Let's not cause any trouble, pull any strokes or do anything I'm going to be sorry for. What's the meaning of "pull any strokes"? Is it old-fashioned to say it? Thanks!

In the US we don't really use this phrase anymore. We would say "to pull a fast one". The phrase means to deceive someone for personal gain.
