What is the meaning of this expression? "In the mood"
Hi guys!
I heard this expression in some different ways on films and series ("I'm not into the mood/ I'm in the mood"). Can you explain me the uses and give me some examples?
Thanks :)

' in the mood to do something ' : feel like doing it
You can be 'in the mood' for anything :
'I'm not in the mood to do my homework at the moment; I think I'll go for a walk instead'
'I'm in the mood for dancing, romancing . . ' [1970s pop song]
More often than not, it is used in the negative : 'I'm not in the mood for . . '
but it can be a positive statement : 'I'm in the mood to answer some questions on Italki'.

To Adrian's excellent answer, I would add that if someone simply uses the phrase "in the mood," doesn't say "I'm in the mood for X," and there are no other clues... then it PROBABLY means "in the mood for love/romance/sex."
