How do I say "to walk east"? My kanji textbook told me that 東の方 means "eastward" or "the way of the East". So, in that case, could I say 東の方に行く to mean "to walk east"? If not, how else would I say this? Also, how else can I use the phrase 東の方?Edit: Oops! I meant "to go East", not "to walk East" (hence 行く). I'm so sorry.

"to go East" literally means 東の方へ行く but 東へ向かう is more natural.
