What's the meaning of "way" in the context
Is it different form "It's too fast"

It's to emphasize that it is really really too fast. For example, if the speed limit is 80, then going 100 is too fast, but going 150 is way too fast.

The correct grammatical construction is "much too fast," but "way too fast" has the same meaning and is more commonly used in conversation.
