go over and look over 1.when you go over something, does it mean you review something(not stress "from the beginning to the end") or just read it from the begining to the end ROUGHLY? 2. If a document that you have never read before, then can I say go over this document, please?(if so, it doesn't have a meaning of review then) 3. Are look over and go over the same in meaning? Or maybe look over means you read something from the beginning to the end CAREFULLY but go over means you read something from the beginning to the end ROUGHLY? Thank you!

In my experience, I would interpret a request tot "look over" something as a request to take a rough look. If I were asked to "go over: something, I would understand that as a more careful look. I don't know, though, if my interpretation is a common one throughout the English speaking world.
