Any native speaker in both English and Spanish could answer this question to me? ¿Cómo se traduce la expresión "tener ganas de" en inglés? E aquí algunos ejemplos: - Tengo ganas de empezar un nuevo curso - Tengo ganas de que llegue Navidad - Tengo ganas de comer comida china Thanks!

As with Ruthi, I am not a totally fluent Spanish speaker, but this one is easy enough. My immediate translations are: "I really want to start a new course". "I wish Christmas would come quickly!!" "I feel like Chinese food" All of these have different starters, as there are so many ways to express such desires in English. I hope they help. Tom

I am not a native Spanish speaker ( I am English) but I know that "tener ganas" means to want to do something or to feel like doing something I feel like eating Chinese food. I feel like starting a new course. and so on.

'Tener ganas de' can also be translated as 'to be looking forward to.' So your second sentence there would be translated in English as something like: I'm looking forward to Christmas.
