1. They are very similar. Some might say that adbuster is more general, referring to any action that disrupts advertising, while culture jammer applies only to social media.
2. A "pitch" is a sales message. So it's saying the advertisers use their message just to sell, while "he" uses the message to encourage discussion or action.
