Are you asking this in the context of the original novel or in general? A naive meaning of "entering a neighborhood" = “正在进入.，刚才过了边界。。。" but in the context of the story this would be a mistaken interpretation. No one was going to consider a passing stranger as their daughter's "rightful property".
