The FULL meaning of the name Κυριλλος
I know that the Greek name Κυριλλος (Kyrillos) comes from the Greek word κυριος (kyrios) which means "lord".
But what is the meaning of the "λλος" suffix in the name? It is commonly believed in the Slavic world that due to the "λλος" prefix, the name means "little lord". But some western sources I found claim that it converts the noun κυριος into an adjective, therefore transforming the meaning into "lordly" or "masterful".
So which interpretation is correct?
