I am confused about this quote from the famous Pixar movie, "Inside Out"
"Crying helps me slow down and obsess over the weight of life’s problems."
What dose “obsess” mean here? ‘deeply think about’ or ‘reflect on’?
Doesn’t obsess have a negative meaning? Dose this sentence actually mean, crying makes her obsessed over the life’s problem..?

Usually being obsessed with something has a negative connotation. Obsess in this instance means the same thing to reflect and think on something to the extant of it being an obsessive/negative action. It's comical in this scenario and is seen as almost a joke for the audience, at least that is my interpretation. Hope this helps!
