"as of date" or "as of the date"
When writing some sort of contracts, a certain date when this contract starts to be activated is words, right?
if I want to make up a sentence using the expression, which one is right in grammatic way? "as of date" or "as of the date"?
Ill just give an example.
"These terms will be activated as of (the) date when the paper is signed."
thank you

Yes, you need "the" there. I would write it as "These terms will be effective as of the date on which this agreement is signed".
