What's the difference between "stern" and "severe"?
Are they interchangable? For example, I have such sentences:
1. He gave me stern look.
2. He is a stern teacher.
3. He looked at my severely.
Can you give some examples to show it?
Thanks in advance!

The words are usually quite different, and usually not very interchangeable
"Stern" means serious in a strict way:
give sb a stern/severe look (here the two are very similar)
stern mother
stern statement
"Severe" means serious in a bad way.
severe illness
stern/severe consequences (stern consequences implies a strict punishment, you CAN'T say, for instance *"climate change will have stern consequences", but you CAN say "breaking the law will be met with stern consequences"),
severe weather
