What's the pronunciation difference between "halve" and "have"?

Hi! I'm not sure about it, but halve in UK:/hɑːv/ en US:/hæv/ , in the other hand have, its strong pronunciation is: /hæv/ and the weak is:/həv/ /əv/ --- In conclusion halves in US is the same as have in USA (strong way)

In North America, the two words have the same pronunciation: the 'a' is pronounced the the 'a' in 'after'. In England, the 'a' in 'halve' is usually pronounced like the 'a' in 'father'.
