What does "go about" mean as in 'go about producing something'?
"Someone asked me to provide a minimal example that reproduces the problem. My thesis is now a few hundred pages long and spans along ten different source files! Do you have any hints or ideas on how should I go about producing such a small example?"

"go about" is a phrasal verb which has its ordinary meaning here. The meaning is something like "tackle" or "approach". The questioner wants help to find a good method.
I recommend studying some example sentences from dictionaries and sentence databases in order to understand its usage in context.
