How do I pronounce the vowel in the second syllable?
1. table (is it correct to say it tay-ball with an aw as in "law")

For each of the words you mentioned, the closest pronunciation would be the u in English "bull." So table would be "tay-bull" and mile would be "my-ull."

The best way to go about this is to use an online dictionary. Merriam Webster, the Oxford Dictionary, the Cambridge dictionary or another if you prefer, and type each of these words in.
