I need more context in order to give you a more passable explanation. This part alone sounds somewhat awkward to me, too. the literal translation would be: "rather than call it all, focusing on the precious ones." My best guess is the nuance of "let's" "let's focus on the precious ones rather than trying to halfway satisfy everybody"
